After Jayden Bogle, Leeds now want to sign player once tipped to become ‘one of the world’s best’

Leeds United are trying to sign Sheffield United right-back Jayden Bogle and alongside that pursuit, they now want to sign another defender.

Daniel Farke’s men narrowly missed out on promotion last season so they’ll be desperate to return to the Premier League this term.

At the moment, Leeds are battling to keep hold of their star players with Crysencio Summerville being linked to Brighton and Hove Albion, amongst others.

Whilst they fend off interest, they’re also working on deals of their own, with a fresh link now emerging.

Leeds want Fode Ballo-Toure

According to , Leeds United are interested in signing AC Milan left-back Fode Ballo-Toure, who was once tipped to become ‘one of the world’s best’ left-backs per .

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Fulham but made just six Premier League appearances without a start.

That’s not put off Leeds, though, who have joined Championship rivals Watford in the race for his signature this summer.

Turkish giants Besiktas are believed to be the front runners at this stage whilst La Liga duo Sevilla and Celta Vigo also keep tabs.

Fode Ballo-Toure price tag

Ballo-Toure has one year remaining on his Milan contract, so he’s expected to be available for a discounted fee.

A price tag has not been revealed at this stage, however, given his value is £2.5m, it’s likely to be in the region of that figure.

Aside from their pursuit of a left-back, Leeds are also expected to move for a midfielder after Archie Gray and Glen Kamara’s departure.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp has been mooted as a potential target, though, that deal is yet to advance.

In other news, a £3m player isn’t actually close to signing for Leeds right now.
