After January disappointment, Leeds need Izzy Brown available more than ever
Leeds United were left bitterly disappointed after they failed to sign Swansea City’s Daniel James on Deadline Day of the January transfer window.
Swansea have confirmed () that 21-year-old winger James travelled to Elland Road on Thursday to discuss a loan switch with a view to a permanent transfer, but states that the clubs couldn’t agree suitable terms.
James has now returned to the Liberty Stadium for the rest of the campaign, but that does leave Marcelo Bielsa in a sticky situation.
Leeds really could have done with a quality attacking addition to the squad to help them get over the line in their promotion bid from the Championship.
Jack Clarke, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison appear to be the main options competing for a wide role.

Izzy Brown has been an unseen player in the first team this season, but the Whites could really do with him arriving at the party soon.
The 22-year-old has been sidelined with a long-term injury, but has returned to action with the Under-23s and Bielsa is reluctant to bring him into the senior fold too quickly.
He is an attacker that can play in the number 10 role behind the striker, but has also shown in his career he can excel out wide.
Brown is currently at the Yorkshire giants on loan from Chelsea and he could feel like a new signing if he links up with the first team in the near future, which should hopefully help gloss over the disappointment with James.
