After hiring Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich now want to sign £150,000-a-week Arsenal player

After replacing Thomas Tuchel with Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich now want to sign a player from Arsenal.

Bayern Munich want Oleksandr Zinchenko

A story from the now claims that Bayern Munich are interested in signing the Ukraine international.

Zinchenko faces a crucial juncture in his Arsenal career this summer, as Mikel Arteta and Edu must decide whether to offload the £32m man, or allow him to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The Ukrainian’s current terms expire in July 2026 – so his value would drop significantly if Arsenal keep him for another 12 months.

Zinchenko endured a difficult 2023/24 campaign under Arteta, making 20 Premier League starts out of a possible 38 – while also being left on the bench in three of Arsenal’s final four Premier League outings.

It is quite telling that the Spaniard overlooked the 27-year-old during the business end of the title race.

Coincidentally, Zinchenko’s one and only Premier League goal last season came against Kompany’s Burnley in a 3-1 win for Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The 38-year-old could be considering Zinchenko as a replacement for Alphonso Davies down the left flank, who is a target for Real Madrid this summer, according to .

Kompany also knows the Ukraine international well from his time at Manchester City – the pair shared a pitch on occasions for the Citizens, winning every single game.

Arsenal seem to have already made a decision

Judging by reports elsewhere, Arteta and Edu have already decided to sell Zinchenko.

A story by claims that Arsenal have opted to put the man from Radomyshl up for sale this summer along with nine other players, as the Gunners attempt to have a summer clear-out.

The names of these nine players – and also Zinchenko – can be found below.

If Arsenal can find a buyer for Zinchenko this summer, it would also ensure his salary is removed from the wage bill, which could help Arteta finance signings to bolster over areas.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as an attractive offer from Bayern Munich would be a great way to kick off the summer, given Arsenal’s desire to sell Zinchenko.
