After Emerson Royal, Tottenham then need to sell £175k-a-week man who isn’t justifying his wage

Although Tottenham Hotspur are currently struggling to agree a valuation with AC Milan, it seems almost certain that Emerson Royal will leave the club.

The Brazilian made 22 appearances for Ange Postecoglou🍌 last season, but isn’t particularly suited to any role in his team.

Royalꦯ almost played an equal amount of minutes as a left-back, a central defender and on the right, but didn’t excel in any of the roles.

Therefore, it makes perfect sense that Postecoglou is happy to sell Royal, who would leave with the club’s best blessing.

🌱Of course, Tottenham’s departures won’t stop there as Johan Lange attempts to create a squad better in his ambitious manager’s image.

And it seems as if Spurs are set to make further additions in attack after concluding a deal for midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds United.

Tottenham have been linked with Desire Doue𒉰, a 19-year-old who has been creating real excitement in France.

And ൲Spurs have also submitted an enquiry for Eberechi Eze𝄹 – reportedly prepared to meet his release clause.

Tottenham must find a buyer for Richarlison this summer

In order to create space for these exciting targets, Tottenham will need to sell one forward at least, and Richarlison should be first out the door.

🦂The Brazilian did enjoy something of an upturn under Postecoglou last season, scoring 12 goals in 31 games.

💛However, at 27-years-old, Richarlison can’t always be considered as a rough diamond, he’s currently at the beginning of his prime years.

꧃And although some would therefore claim that it’s not the time to sell the Brazilian, Tottenham should have enough evidence to conclude that Richarlison isn’t the right fit for Postecoglou.

🌼Although the forward presents a fairly well-rounded profile, he doesn’t excel in any one area, explaining why Spurs should seek an upgrade.

In that respect, Benjamin Seskoꦚ looked like the perfect target for Spurs, a player who is now off the market.

But perhaps Ivan Toney🦩 would therefore be the obvious upgrade for the Brazilian who would seemingly be available this summer.

Right now, Richarlison is reportedly earning in north London – he’s the third highest earner at Tottenham.

🌼And despite improving under Postecoglou, the Brazilian simply isn’t justifying those figures with the consistency of his performances.
