Adrian says he and Alisson are both number ones at Liverpool
Goalkeeper Adrian is ready to challenge Alisson at Liverpool, insisting that they are both number ones.
Alisson is back in the picture for the Reds now after recovering from a calf injury he picked up in the first game of the season against Norwich City.
The Brazil international has been back in training and is in contention to start this weekend’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.

It remains to be seen if Klopp will drop deputy Adrian back to the bench – the Spaniard has been largely excellent in Alisson’s absence.
, the former West Ham United stopper said: “It’s not my mentality to be a No.2 and even less so when I am 32. Maybe in four, five years’ time I will tell you differently but it’s much better than being in a comfort zone of one No.1 and the other [goalkeeper] sitting on the bench forever.
“It’s a good decision for the manager because everyone wants to have the best and I think we are here – two No.1s.”
TBR’s view
Adrian’s comments will go down well with the Liverpool faithful, who have already grown to love the 32-year-old after his immediate impact at the club.

It is good that he doesn’t see himself as inferior to Alisson, and that mentality is something that should push the £90,000-a-week South American () to stay at his best.
If Alisson’s form suffers, Jurgen Klopp at least knows there is top quality cover in reserve.
