Report: AC Milan eye £14m Arsenal man; he’s among four Premier League players wanted
Arsenal defender, Pablo Mari, could be on his way to Serie A this January as AC Milan have him included on a four-man shortlist of potential signings.
According to , as per , Mari is among a number of Premier League defenders being considered by Milan during this current window. The Milan giants are keen to add defensive cover and Mari, along with Manchester United’s Eric Bailly, Chelsea’s Malang Sarr, and Manchester City’s Nathan Ake, is being eyed.
Mari only signed for Arsenal on a full-time deal in 2020. Mikel Arteta sanctioned a deal to bring the defender in, but he’s now down the pecking order at The Emirates. A whole of host of clubs are said to be watching Mari’s situation, with Milan one of the first to actually be named.

Arsenal signed Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu in the summer. This has pushed Mari further down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta. He is thought to be open to leaving in January.
The Gunners take on Nottingham Forest today in FA Cup action. A number of young players are set to be involved at the City Ground.
TBR’s View: Arsenal Should Cash In On Pablo Mari
There is little point in Mari sticking around if he isn’t going to play. Arsenal seem to have a settled back four now, and he isn’t going to be bumped up any time soon.
Of course, he is a viable back-up. He’s done well at times when called upon. But overall, Mari probably isn’t quite at the level Arsenal needs. If they can get a fee for him in January and recoup some money, then it might be best for everyone.
Milan are a huge club too, in fairness. If Mari does end up at the San Siro, then he can hardly grumble really.
