AC Milan reportedly adamant that Tottenham must sign Krzysztof Piatek permanently
Tottenham Hotspur’s hunt for a Harry Kane alternative appears to have taken them to AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek. last week, Spurs had reportedly agreed a £28 million fee to sign the player with a medical due over the forthcoming 48 hours.
Clearly, that was not the case. Piatek remains a Milan player and the latest report why Tottenham are not making headway in this deal.

They are reporting that Tottenham want Piatek on loan. However, AC Milan are ‘adamant’ that the deal will be a permanent deal, with Piatek valued at £30 million, ‘or nothing’.
TBR’s View
Tottenham are clearly not convinced in Piatek enough to commit to a permanent deal for the player.
In fairness, you can understand why. Whilst Piatek was a goal machine at Cracovia and Genoa he has struggled to have a similar impact since his big-money move to Milan last January. Despite an excellent start to life at the San Siro, he has scored just five goals in his last 25 Serie A appearances.
Tottenham likely want him on loan, to see if the Polish international can rekindle his scoring streak, before spending big money on his services.
So it is a sensible buying position from Tottenham. However, it may also end up costing them their chance of signing a perfect Kane alternative.
