AC Milan now monitoring ‘outstanding’ £21.7m Arsenal player

AC Milan are monitoring Charlie Patino, but will need to pay at least £21.7 million if they hope to sign the Arsenal youngster.

That is according to a report from , which notes that the Rossoneri are targeting players with plenty of potential.

Charlie Patino is a player Arsenal fans would surely love to keep. For some time, the ‘outstandingPatino has been tipped for a very bright future at the Emirates.

However, the Gunners have made rapid progress in the last couple of years under Mikel Arteta. And with that, there was speculation over the summer that the 20-year-old was about to leave.

In fact, reported that Patino was definitely going to be moving on from Arsenal. However, he ended up leaving on loan, with the midfielder joining Swansea City.

Discussions are still going to be needed over Patino’s long-term situation at the Emirates. And it seems that his situation has alerted the AC Milan hierarchy.

According to , AC Milan are keen on Patino. However, Arsenal are said to want at least €25 million for the academy starlet.

Arsenal have done plenty of work on their midfield over the last few windows. And when everyone is fit, they boast an outstanding unit with Thomas Partey, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.

However, Partey is injured once again. So that is a situation that Arsenal may want to address sooner or later.

Perhaps it may still be too soon for Patino to come into the fold on a more regular basis. However, if he is going to stay, it is surely imperative that he sees a pathway into Arteta’s plans.

Interest from a club such as AC Milan is certainly going to leave Patino and Arsenal with plenty to ponder over the coming months.
