AC Milan fans react to report that Celtic star could be included in a deal for Diego Laxalt

AC Milan could reportedly sanction the permanently sale of Diego Laxalt to Scottish champions Celtic even before the January transfer window but only in a swap deal that includes Kris Ajer – and Milan supporters are all for such a move.

Uruguay star Laxalt, 27, has made a solid start to life in Glasgow since completing a season-long loan move to the Hoops from Milan. His future looks likely to be away from the Italians, especially after playing against them in the Europa League.

He has played eight times for Celtic and opened his account on Sunday, lashing home a left-footed effort at Easter Road against Hibernian. It saw the Hoops secure a crucial point, after going 2-0 down and finishing 2-2 thanks to Laxalt.

that Celtic are impressed with Laxalt’s start to life in Scotland and want a permanent deal. However, Milan may look to benefit themselves and solve their lack of options at centre-back – by using Laxalt.

The report claims that Laxalt could be sold to Celtic in a deal that brings Ajer to the San Siro – in a deal that is likely to be a Laxalt-plus-cash deal for the Norway international. It remains to be seen whether Celtic would be open to such a move.

Milan supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that sporting director Paolo Maldini could bring Ajer to Milan in a player-plus-cash move for Laxalt – and many would be delighted with such business.
