‘Absolutely superb’: Tony Dorigo applauds 27-year-old Leeds defender
Tony Dorigo has given a glowing verdict about the recent form of Leeds United’s Diego Llorente.
Llorente, who earns £22,000-a-week (), has massively impressed lately in the Whites XI.
The Spanish centre-back has now started eight consecutive Premier League matches, which must be a real relief for him after suffering an injury-hit season during his first year in English football.
Dorigo has praised the Leeds 27-year-old, explaining the way he loves how positive he is playing out from the back.
“Not only the goal for Llorente the way that he’s playing, I think is absolutely superb,” Dorigo told.
“I like the way he’s nice and positive with the ball, when he gets it there is always a motive to get forward then pass.”

TBR’s View:
If you consider Llorente had to watch on from the sidelines during most of the first half of the season, the way he’s come into the team during the past couple of months has been remarkable.
It’s no coincidence that he’s a Spain international, and he’s slotted into the Leeds side effortlessly.
He’s still caught out on the odd occasion, but he’s really starting to buy into Bielsa’s philosophy and he’s a ball-playing centre-half that is extremely comfortable in possession.
Llorente headed in his first goal for the club earlier in the week during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool, and the defender looks like someone who will continue to grow in stature at Elland Road as he adapts to the Premier League.
