‘Absolutely’: Sky Sports pundit says 25-year-old Nottingham Forest man could force his way into England’s World Cup squad
Sky Sports pundit Mark Schwarzer thinks Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson could force his way into England’s World Cup squad.
.
The 25-year-old shot stopper is currently on loan from Manchester United and put in an outstanding performance against West Ham United on Sunday.
The Englishman made a brilliant save to deny Tomas Soucek and saved an effort from the spot from Declan Rice.

Henderson was absolutely crucial in Forest gaining their first win of the new season as they beat the Hammers 1-0.
And if the loanee continues this type of form, Schwarzer thinks he could force his way into the England set-up.
Henderson could force his way into England squad
The ex-Fulham shot stopper spoke about the depth Southgate has in the goalkeeping position in Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale and Henderson.
And the Australian keeper feels that Henderson has every chance of breaking into the squad before the winter World Cup in Qatar.
: “Absolutely. There’s no reason why he [Henderson] can’t. I think it all comes down to the performances throughout the season.
“He’ll be judged between now and the time when they decide to select that squad going into the World Cup.
“Obviously he’s a little bit behind the eight ball as these guys [Pickford and Ramsdale] have been around for a bit longer, playing regularly. So he’s got to play a little bit of catch up, but all he can do is focus on his own performances week in week out.”

Southgate’s next squad selection comes next month as England take on Italy and Germany in the Nations League.
And it will be the boss’ final selection before he picks his squad in November for the World Cup.
Henderson is certainly staking his claim after his most recent performance for Forest. But he faces stiff competition in Ramsdale and Pickford.
With that said, if the Forest man continues to play like he did on Sunday, it will be hard for Southgate to ignore him.
