‘Absolutely outstanding’: Sky Sports pundit hails Liverpool 20-year-old
Liverpool academy graduate Neco Williams put in a superb display for Wales on Tuesday night, earning praise from fans, peers and pundits.
The 20-year-old has made 28 appearances for Liverpool since making his debut just over two years ago.
Admittedly, Williams could’ve had a lot more but for the world-class Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of him in the pecking order.

That said, the way Williams is developing, Jurgen Klopp could soon find himself with a selection headache at right-back as well.
It wasn’t that long ago that Andrew Robertson was Liverpool’s undisputed choice at left-back.
However, Kostas Tsimikas is now pushing him all the way for a spot in the Reds starting XI.
And this could potentially be the case with Williams and Alexander-Arnold soon.
That said, the Welshman’s Dragons masterclass came on the left, highlighting his versatility.
The Liverpool gem helped his nation record a crucial point in a 1-1 draw against Belgium to secure a second-place finish in Group E.

This means home advantage in the play-off semi-finals for an eventual place at Qatar 2022.
Williams was a constant thorn in Belgium’s side from the left, but also did so well from a defensive perspective.
In the 84th minute, the Reds gem burst inside following a swift break and saw his drive brilliantly saved by Koen Casteels.
And Sky Sports pundit Danny Gabbidon was blown away by what he’d seen.
“Neco Williams has been absolutely outstanding tonight,” the former Wales international said on Sky Sports (16/11, ).
Klopp will no doubt have been watching and smiling, thinking about another positive selection headache he could soon have in the full-back position.
