‘Absolutely brilliant’: Sky Sports pundit raves about ÂŁ4m ‘warrior’ Everton reportedly want
A player reportedly sought after by Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has made pundit Charlie Nicholas�Premier League Team of the Season so far.
According to a report in from December, the Toffees are interested in Sheffield United defender John Egan, who has been one of the Blades�best performers this season.
Egan has played in all but one of United’s Premier League games this season as Chris Wilder’s charges made a mockery of certain negative pre-season predictions to sit seventh in the table.
Given his impressive displays, it’s little surprise that other clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old, with Everton potentially looking to bolster their defensive ranks.

“He has been absolutely brilliant. He is brave, he is a warrior, and he has authority within his back three. He has a fabulous goalkeeper behind him, but if he has to deal with it, then he will.
“The big buys of Harry Maguire and others were all focused on, but there were plenty of Blades players who I did not think would cut it. His consistency at this level has looked so comfortable, so Egan goes in.�/p>
