‘Absolute mustard’: Some Everton fans wowed by £90k-a-week ace in FA Cup third-round win

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to praise James Rodriguez’s match-winning display in the Toffees’ FA Cup third-round win today.

Carlo Ancelotti’s charges took on Rotherham at Goodison Park but were made to work hard for their victory, eventually triumphing in extra time.

Cenk Tosun opened the scoring for Everton after just nine minutes, the Turkey international’s clever chipped finish giving him his first goal in blue since 2019.

Rotherham went on to level in the 56th minute as Olosunde hooked home a finish into the far corner of Robin Olsen’s net from a tight angle.

Tosun was denied a second goal by VAR in the latter stages of normal time, but substitute Abdoulaye Doucoure slotted home the winner early on in extra time.
