‘Absolute joke’, ‘It’s a shame’: Arsenal fans discuss Mesut Ozil’s potential DC United move
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil looks to be on his way out of the club it seems, with reporting last night he was in talks with DC United.
The German playmaker has been left in the wilderness under Mikel Arteta, with talk of a move for Ozil being a near constant over the last six months or so.
However, he has remained put and there had been some calls from some fans and former players for Ozil to be called back into the 25-man squad in January.

Gunners fans, then, have been having their say on the latest developments surrounding Ozil’s future and there seems to be some split opinion as usual, with some favouring a move while others believe it’s a waste of a big talent.
Here is what some Arsenal supporters had to say then as Mesut Ozil nears a move away from north London.
Good. Get these players out. Free up the wages and re-invest back into the squad.

People talk about Ozil’s wages hampering us. Ozil anyday will slot better than Willian who is on a 200k per week. The crime was commited several times. Now Auba is sailing in the same ship. How many can we offload?

And i thought He loves Arsenal now i know it was always about the cash and the ‘brand’

Absolute joke if we get rid of him like this, so much for Arsenal being renowned as a ‘Class’ Club

Can’t believe u all are celebrating a legend leaving, give him a proper send off, like we gave to Ramsey

he’s arsenal royalty should be treated better
— will 🐆 (@willkay49)
Good for both sides. Arsenal saves up wages and frees up funds to sign a few players. Ozil widens his brand and gets to play week in week out.
