‘Absolute gem’, ‘the real deal’: Some fans totally blown away by young Liverpool loanee’s display
Liverpool loanee Rhian Brewster has once again delivered a standout display as he netted twice for Swansea in their 3-0 win away at Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The 20-year-old is one of the most highly rated players emerging from the Reds academy in recent years and, prior to the football shutdown, had netted four goals in 11 Championship games for the Swans.
With the Championship now back under way, playoff-chasing Swansea returned to action with a trip to relegation-battling Boro, and it didn’t take long for Brewster to make his mark against Jonathan Woodgate’s side.

On 18 minutes, Andre Ayew got the better of Jonny Howson and crossed for Brewster to sidefoot home, the Anfield prodigy celebrating by unveiling a top bearing the anti-racism message “Our colour is not a crime”.
Brewster then made it two just three minutes later when he connected with Aldo Kalulu’s cross to volley into the back of the net, and by half time the game was all but over as Ayew added a third from the penalty spot.
With Brewster contracted to Liverpool until 2023 (), it’s clear that the Reds have him in their long-term plans, and judging by the Swansea fanbase’s social media reaction, there is plenty to get excited about.

Should be down to 10 – very positive half Ayew, Callagher and Brewster particularly impressive – would really appreciate a clean sheet and an opportunity for some of the players on the bench after 20 in the second half (Garrick)

Wish we could have brewster on an extra year deal also Gallagher because these two are quality players. Cannot knock our defence though completely solid and Naughts played well before the break continuing it after

Great performance. Hopefully we can kick on now and make a real push for playoffs. Brewster is the real deal.

Back with a bang.
Superb performance, particularly the first half, from Swansea today.
And you all knew this anyway, but what an absolute gem of a player Rhian Brewster is.
Happy Saturday, Jack Army!
