‘Absolute garbage’… Alan Brazil reacts after what he’s just heard about Tottenham vs Chelsea today
Alan Brazil has labelled claims that Tottenham vs Chelsea was a great watch as ‘absolute garbage’.
The pundit has been speaking on this morning and wasn’t impressed with what was a chaotic game in North London on Monday.
Ange Postecoglou’s men suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of their London rivals as Mauricio Pochettino returned to Spurs for the first time since his dismissal in 2019.
But the scoreline doesn’t tell half the story as Spurs played the majority it the game with fewer players.

Cristian Romero was sent off in the 33rd minute before Destiny Udogie picked up a second yellow 10 minutes after halftime – after both players had already narrowly avoided being sent off for earlier challenges.
It was a game that had five goals, the same number ruled out, two red cards, and a total of nine VAR checks.
In the first half alone, 12 minutes of injury was added on after a bizarre opening 45 minutes.
And while many seemed to enjoy Monday night’s spectacle between Tottenham and Chelsea, Alan Brazil wasn’t one of them.
Brazil labels Tottenham vs Chelsea clash ‘absolute garbage’
Speaking on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning, Brazil reacted after hearing that many people enjoyed Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea.
“Do you know a lot of people say that [the] Spurs vs Chelsea game was great, but how many hold up? That’s not for me,” he said. “That’s not football for me.”
Ally McCoist then weighed in on the conversation and said: “I’m going to tell you something, did you know there were 21 minutes added between the first half and the second half?”
“It’s garbage, it’s absolute garbage,” Brazil responded.

While Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea certainly didn’t lack talking points, it’s hard to disagree with Brazil in some respects.
The majority of the first half was spent waiting around for the VAR to check multiple decisions and rule out goals.
While many understandably enjoyed Monday night’s game, you have to wonder just how much better it would have been without VAR interrupting constantly.
