Aaron Lennon tells Manchester United how they could convince 52-year-old manager to replace Erik ten Hag
Aaron Lennon has said that Unai Emery would not leave Aston Villa and replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United right now.
The former Tottenham Hotspur winger, though, has suggested how United could convince Emery to make the switch at the end of the season.
So, what has Aaron Lennon said about Manchester United and Unai Emery? Let’s take a look.
Aaron Lennon suggests how Manchester United could convince Unai Emery
Well, the future of Erik ten Hag as the Manchester United manager is under speculation now. The Red Devils are facing a struggle in their quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season. They have failed to get past the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
According to , Sir Jim Ratcliffe is about to come into United as an investor and has already met with former Chelsea manager Graham Potter. The ex-Brighton and Hove Albion boss is being linked up as a potential replacement for Ten Hag.
Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon was asked on talkSPORT whether Unai Emery would leave Aston Villa for United.

Lennon does not think that the former Arsenal manager would jump ship right now, but he has suggested how the Red Devils could convince the 52-year-old at the end of the season.
When asked if Emery would leave Villa for United right now, Lennon said on : “No chance. I don’t believe so. He has got a squad that is absolutely flying.
“Obviously, Man United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but unless they go there saying he has got a three, four-year project to get it right, I think that’s the only way.
“Potentially, not right now, maybe at the end of the season, not right now.”
My View: Manchester United could be appealing to Unai Emery
In my view, the prospect of managing Manchester United would be hugely appealing to Unai Emery.
Yes, Aston Villa are a big club, but United are bigger – they are arguably the biggest club in England.
I believe that if United made a very good offer and gave Emery the confidence that he would be able to build a team in his image, then they could be able to persuade him to leave Villa Park for Old Trafford.
However, as Aaron Lennon says, it is not going to happen now. United would have to wait until the end of the season to try to convince the former Arsenal boss, if indeed they were interested in him.
