Alasdair Gold has praised Tottenham Hotspur talent Dane Scarlett for how much he has bulked up over the past few months.
The 18-year-old academy graduate is one of the most highly rated youngsters to come through the Spurs ranks in recent years.
Scarlett burst on to the scene as a 16-year-old in the Europa League last season under Jose Mourinho.

He became the youngest player to provide an assist in the competition since Kylian Mbappe.
Scarlett also made his Premier League debut last term, as a substitute in the February win over West Brom.
In July last year, Mourinho the teenager to become “phenomenal” for England.
This season, Scarlett has split his time between the Under-23s and the senior team.
He has made eight Tottenham first-team appearances this term, plus eight Premier League 2 outings.
But for the most part, Scarlett has endured a difficult season in terms of game time and goal contributions.
As per , he has played less than 1,000 competitive minutes this season, at senior and age level.
Scarlett also has just one goal and one assist to his name in 2021-22.
“He’s definitely bulked up”
Gold, speaking on his , reckons the Spurs talent would’ve been better off remaining fully with the Under-23s.
He also believes Tottenham will almost certainly send him out on loan, which he reckons will do him a world of good.
“On Monday, I went to the Under-23s match at the stadium, was a good turnout there as well,” said Gold.
“Wasn’t the greatest game in the world, 0-0 against Brighton, but a couple of interesting points.
“Dane Scarlett was starting up front. He had a tough day, bit of a frustrating day.
“A couple of nice runs, a couple of nice attempts to try and get shots on goal, but he was quite frustrated.

“A bit like those early Europa Conference League qualifying games where he started for Nuno up front, just feeding off scraps.
“But he’s definitely bulked up, you can see being with the first team all season, he’s strengthened.
“He looks like a first-team player that had come to play with the Under-23s, and bear in mind he’s only 18, it shows his physical development.
“He looks a world away from that player (who debuted under Jose Mourinho).
“From what I understand, unless Conte decides otherwise over the summer, the club will look to give Dane a loan next season. Which is what he needs.”
