‘A star in the sky which exploded’: Spurs reportedly keeping tabs on truly ‘incredible’ midfielder
Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Ismaila Soro is an “incredible” midfielder whose playing style is reminiscent of N’Golo Kante, according to Ori Guttman.
According to the , Spurs are monitoring the 22-year-old Celtic player with a view to a summer move.
The outlet claims that Tottenham see him as a hidden gem who could provide cheap cover for their first team as they look to rebuild in wake of Jose Mourinho’s exit.

Soro, a £2.7million signing from Israeli side Bnei Yehuda in January last year, barely figured at Parkhead for much of Neil Lennon’s tenure.
The talented Ivorian briefly broke into first-team contention earlier this year, which coincided with an upturn in form for the Hoops, but Lennon’s departure put paid to that.
Soro has since been limited to a handful of substitute appearances under John Kennedy with Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Ryan Christie all preferred in midfield.
Guttman was No 2 at Yehuda when he was tipped off about the young midfielder, and he was impressed after seeing footage of the young player in action in the Belarusian league.
“The Belarusian league isn’t a high level, so I watched the full 90 minutes of games he played against the strongest teams there on video,” he told the last year, prior to Soro’s move to Glasgow.
“When I saw Soro I was immediately excited. From the first second I noticed his explosive power.
“His tackling and dribbling skills were incredible. He looked like he had good potential.
“I watched him in five full games. From the first game I knew he would be good for us.
“Soro was like a star in the sky which exploded and it was only a matter of time before he’d move and how much the club would earn from him.
“Now he reminds me of N’Golo Kante at Chelsea. Kante maybe doesn’t look like he’s strong, but he is. He wins most duels and tackles. Soro does the same and wins the battles too.”
