The have reported that Nikola Vlasic is set to leave Everton for Russian club CSKA Moscow. The Toffees stand to receive £14 million in return for the 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan with CSKA.
Vlasic impressed during his temporary stint, to the extent that CSKA are now bringing him back on a five-year deal. Last season, the Croatian netted eight times and registered seven assists for the Russian outfit.

He was never able to have the same impact for the Toffees, though arguably he was never given a fair chance to prove his worth. Vlasic arrived at Goodison Park in 2017. However, an abundance of attacking midfielders in the Everton squad meant his game time was severely restricted. In his first season on Merseyside, Vlasic managed just 12 Premier League outings, mainly from the bench.
Had he been given more time and opportunity to prove his worth at Everton, he may well have risen to the challenge. He must now focus on getting his career back on track with CSKA and reaching his full potential.
Following the reports of his exit, plenty of Everton fans took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Vlasic’s departure.

What a shame and a waste that Vlasic has left Everton for CSKA Moscow.
Never set the world alight for us but he was a victim of a shambolic season when he first came in. Really talented player who I loved watching at Goodison. He'll go on to be a top star for Croatia IMO.
