Simon Jordan has lauded Eddie Howe for the job he has done at Newcastle United, noting that Anthony Gordon would get into most teams around right now.

Anthony Gordon has been in sensational form for the Magpies this season. The 22-year-old had a really quiet start following his move from Everton in the previous January transfer window.

But something appears to have clicked in the opening months of this campaign. Gordon has scored six goals and contributed five assists in the Premier League. That includes the winning goals against both Arsenal and Manchester United.

Dan Burn said that Gordon has been so impressive. And it is certainly fair to say that many of us have had to admit that the winger has proven us wrong this season.
Simon Jordan is one of those who has been really impressed by Gordon, having previously had his doubts about him.
“His players are absolutely at it, on it and across it,” he told the , as he lauded Howe. “The Anthony Gordons of this world, who I felt was a bit ahead of himself, is now turning into a player that you’d have in most teams. Joelinton and so many others look like different players.”
Newcastle yet to reach their ceiling
What is exciting about Newcastle is the knowledge that there is a lot more to come from the club in the coming years. Obviously, the takeover has seen them make some massive jumps.
But Howe has done brilliantly to move the club up the table so quickly. It is almost remarkable to think about where they were less than two years ago.
Newcastle are now back in the Champions League and competing against the best in the Premier League.
And in Gordon, they have a very exciting youngster with a big future ahead.
