A new club has just entered the race to sign Tottenham’s Emerson Royal after AC Milan talks
Emerson Royal is one player who looks set to head out the door at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Brazilian full-back racked up 24 appearances under Ange Postecoglou last season but managed just 11 starts in the Premier League.
Most of those starts came in the absence of Tottenham’s key defensive players, with Emerson Royal proving a versatile option as he filled in across the backline.
But Spurs are reportedly ready to offload Royal this summer and have been linked with replacements such as Monaco’s Vanderson and Leeds United starlet Archie Gray.
Despite recent claims that Royal is closing in on a switch to AC Milan, reports that talks between Spurs and the Italian giants are yet to take place.
However, as well as Milan, the Brazilian is also receiving interest from his homeland.

Flamengo keen on Emerson Royal
Football.London claims that despite recent speculation, Spurs are yet to hold formal talks with Milan regarding Royal’s departure.
It’s noted that any current discussions remain with the player’s agent, rather than Tottenham.
The 25-year-old has received interest from the Saudi Pro League and Flamengo are also keen on landing him this summer.

What Royal has said about his future amid Tottenham exit rumours
It seems apparent that Spurs are ready to offload Royal this summer and the full-back isn’t short of interest.
Despite his versatility being useful for Postecoglou, he just isn’t suited to the Aussie’s demands of his full-backs.
Royal himself has admitted that he could head out the door this summer, while also commenting on Milan’s interest.
“The truth is that I still don’t have anything defined. Obviously to know that Milan is in conversation with the club [Spurs], they are looking for information on me,” he said.
“For me it is very gratifying because Milan is a team known for having Brazilian players, right. We know there have been some great Brazilians to have played for them. Let’s wait and see what’s going to happen.”
