Besiktas coach makes claim about what Dele Alli has been like in training since signing
Everton fans may be wondering what would have happened if Dele Alli hadn’t been loaned out to Besiktas this season.
The Toffees are crying out for a creative player in the middle of the pitch, although whether Alli is still that man is up for debate.

Whitehead is currently in temporary charge of Cardiff City after they sacked their previous manager.
However, he’s been working with Besiktas this season, and talked about Alli’s application in training.
“A lot gets said about Dele in terms of his work-rate in training and everything that comes with him,” .
“But overall, he trains well, he does everything he can. I just think he gets a raw deal from a lot of people.
“How about giving him a bit of a break? Leave him alone.
“Because he burst on the scene and was a big England star, I feel he gets harshly treated, and he’s a lovely boy, a lovely kid doing his best, and he just gets criticised.
“We’d have chats and I’d ask him if he flies home every now and again when he has a few days off.
“He didn’t, because he wanted to stay and get himself into the culture of what the Turkish league is about. He went all in.”
that Besiktas are considering cutting Alli’s laon deal short this month.
The 26-year-old has only made eight league appearances, and not scored since September.
Alli has only played a single league minute since October, and clearly isn’t impressing the Besiktas manager in training.
He’ll be hoping his fortunes improve in the second-half of the season both in Turkey and his parent club.
Otherwise, he could be returning to Merseyside to play in the Championship next season.
