‘A little bit of worry’: Danny Mills reacts after seeing Leeds transfer business so far this summer
Leeds United have been busy so far this summer as the club have added six new players to Jesse Marsch’s squad.
But former Leeds man .
The Whites have lost key players Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha during the transfer window but have used the money to add depth to Marsch’s team.
All of Leeds’ new signings are yet to play a Premier League game and Mills is worried this may impact his former club.

He said: “They’ve just got to make sure that all those players they’ve brought in gel together. They’ve brought in seven, eight, maybe even nine transfers that they’re looking at before the end of the window.
“Now, we’ve seen clubs do that before in the past. We saw Fulham spend really big, bringing lots of players in. I think that Aston Villa might have done the same sort of thing, at one stage.
“It’s difficult to blend those players, because with that many, a quarter and maybe a third of them, are not going to settle. They’re not going to perform to how you expect in those first few months when there’s an awful lot going on.
“You’re talking about moving country. Getting used to a different way of life, moving leagues., getting used to the intensity of training and the Premier League.”
Mills did add that he’s been impressed with Leeds’ dealings but is still slightly worried for United.
“Yeah, they’ve done some very, very good business.” he said.
“They certainly needed to add strength in depth. They needed to add to their numbers. But can Jesse Marsch get those players to gel?
“Because if he doesn’t get those players to gel quickly and you lose the first five games, suddenly you’re looking up the table and that’s when a little bit of worry can settle in.”
The former Whites defender may have a point about Leeds’ business so far as all the club’s signings lack Premier League experience.
But the club have managed to bring the six players in ahead of the Premier League opener, so the new signings will have had time to work with Marsch and their new teammates.
Leeds have signed some exciting young players, such as Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson, who seem like an ideal fit for Marsch’s high-energy style of football.
United will undoubtedly be an exciting watch this season and it will be intriguing to see how quickly their new signings can adapt to English football.
