93.3% pass accuracy, 1 shot, 3 tackles; Liverpool sub shone v Atletico, staked claim v Red Devils – TBR View
Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t had the rub of the green for much of his time at Anfield.
The Reds man made just 17 appearances in 2020-21, due in part to a knee injury that kept him out in the first half of the season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury meant he missed pre-season and had to constantly battle to get to full fitness.

The 28-year-old also missed most of the 2018-19 campaign due to a cruciate ligament rupture.
Now fit again, Oxlade-Chamberlain is being used sparingly by Jurgen Klopp, getting most of his minutes off the bench.
On Tuesday, the England international came on just after the hour against Atletico Madrid.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was impressive, making numerous contributions and overall improving his side’s play.

He saw a fierce shot kept out by Jan Oblak shortly after coming on, tracked back well, provided a creative link and calmed things down when Liverpool were hanging on to their lead.
As per , Oxlade-Chamberlain had 25 touches of the ball and made 15 passes with 93.3 percent accuracy.
He also had a shot on target, completed two dribbles, made three tackles and one interception, and won five ground duels.
On Sunday, Liverpool face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
And while it remains to be seen whether Oxlade-Chamberlain is in line for a start, he’s certainly staked a claim and given Klopp food for thought.
