‘8/10’, ‘very solid night’: Media wowed by 20-year-old Leeds talent’s display v Blackpool
Leeds United got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start as they ran out 4-0 winners over Blackpool on Thursday night.
Jesse Marsch’s charges hosted the Championship side at the City of York Council’s LNER Stadium, and looked dangerous from the off.
Leeds took the lead after just 10 minutes, Robin Koch slotting home after good work from Junior Firpo and Jack Harrison.

Harrison and Firpo then combined again for the game’s second on 23 minutes.
The former Manchester City man’s corner found Firpo for a near-post header into the back of the net.
Then, Leeds made it three on the half-hour mark, Joe Gelhardt teeing up Rodrigo to rifle home from point-blank range.
The Whites added a fourth late on, Jamie Shackleton breaking down the right wing and cutting the ball back for Mateo Joseph to fire home.
A good performance from Leeds, with numerous players impressing on the night.
Cody Drameh, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff, will be happy with his return to the Leeds fold.
The local press was also happy with the 20-year-old’s efforts on the night.
gave Drameh 7/10 and wrote: “A return to Leeds colours and a very solid night for the right-back.

“Won a lot of his duels and grew in confidence with getting down the field.”
Meanwhile, the gave him 8/10. They wrote: “Showed his athleticism, got forward into space well in the first half. Defensively very sound.”
Drameh will no doubt have impressed Marsch against Blackpool. He’ll be keen to keep up the good work as he looks to become part of Leeds’ plans for 2022-23.
