£68m star has now suggested he would join Man City this summer if Pep Guardiola makes a bid
Manchester City are expected to enjoy a busy summer under new sporting director Hugo Viana in the transfer market.
Replacing Kevin De Bruyne will of course be a big focus for Man City, a club legend who will leave such a big hole in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
West Ham United made a move to sign De Bruyne, one that was ultimately fruitless given his desire to head to Napoli.
And although Man City are trying to sign Rayan Cherki to somewhat cover for the creativity they are losing in De Bruyne, the Frenchman might not be their only attacking addition.
For a long time, City have also wanted Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, one of the outstanding performers who recently thwarted Guardiola’s side at Wembley.
Eberechi Eze says he wants to ‘win everything’ amid Man City links
Fortunately for City, Eze is ready to leave Crystal Palace this summer, perhaps seeing the club’s FA Cup win as an appropriate ending point.
And possibly on the back of that decision, the England international has now spoken about his desire to ‘win everything’ in an interview with Sky Sports.

Eze wasn’t specifically talking about leaving Palace or anything as such, but his comments did appear to lend to the idea of a summer exit.
The Palace player said it was his aim to win every trophy available, something he’s unlikely to do with Oliver Glasner’s side, even if they have been brilliant since the Austrian’s arrival.
Saying his piece, Eze declared: “For me, that’s my aim man, I want to win everything, everything there is for me to win, I want to win it, and I’ll do everything I possibly can to win it.
“That’s the mentality, that’s the aim, it’s always been the goal from the start so again, thanking God for the opportunity to be in this position, alongside the ambition to keep pushing, keep driving, keep improving, be the best player I can be and to win — I want to win everything, that’s it.”
Eze could win trophies with Man City
Of course, of all of the clubs interested in Eze, City are perhaps the only one who can guarantee trophies.
Guardiola’s team are a winning machine, even if the 2024/25 season was a frustrating one.
But with Rodri fully fit next term and De Bruyne replaced, City should be competitive across all fronts again, aiming to ‘win everything’, like Eze said.
Eze has a release clause of around this summer according to reports, one that City should be able to meet if they proceed with their interest.
A remarkable player, and one who could definitely help Guardiola win even more silverware at the Etihad, should he make the move.
