£60m-rated Euro 2020 star some fans compare to Henry could be Arsenal’s striking saviour – TBR View

If you haven’t heard of Alexander Isak, you probably have now.

The 21-year-old striker was electric for Sweden in their Euro 2020 opener. The attacker toyed with the Spanish defence when allowed to do so, and the Real Sociedad star left an impact on the footballing world at large, and in particular, Arsenal supporters.

The former Borussia Dortmund attacker is reportedly a target for the Gunners. Last week that the north London side are interested in Isak, with a £60m release clause all that’s stopping from Arsenal signing the attacker.

Indeed, some supporters on social media were drawing up some big comparisons with Isak, with some seeing similarities between the attacker and club icon Thierry Henry as seen below…

Isak can solve a major problem for Arsenal

Although comparisons to Henry are premature, to say the least, the prospect of Isak joining Arsenal is an exciting one. Moreover, it is a proposition that could solve the club’s attacking problems for many years to come.

Although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has two years remaining on his current deal and the likes of Florian Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli two of the club’s most exciting prospects, Isak is simply too exciting a player for Arsenal to pass on.

With 17 league goals last season for Real Sociedad as well as Sweden’s youngest ever goalscorer, Isak is a striker with a huge future in the game. And for Arsenal, the attacker could be the man to lead the line for many years to come.

Release clause could be worth the financial risk

With a £60m release clause, though, Isak poses an incredible financial risk for Arsenal.

Although the Gunners have spent more than this fee on players, spending it on a 21-year-old could be a hazardous move for the north London side.

Yet despite this fee, Isak is a player who would be worth the money. The youngster is one of the top prospects in world football, and his showcase performance against Spain showed that the Swede has the quality to perform against the best in world football.
