The report has claimed that Chelsea, who could lose Trevoh Chalobah in January, want £60 million for the midfielder, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners could cash in on him for £50 million.

Although Tottenham are “firm admirers” of the midfielder, they are not willing to pay £50 million or £60 million for him.

The Mirror has added that Gallagher himself “is determined to stay at Chelsea” and “views Stamford Bridge as home”. He does not want to move to Tottenham. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep the 23-year-old.

My View: Tottenham Hotspur should move on from Conor Gallagher

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should move on from Conor Gallagher and focus on someone else.

If Spurs do not want to pay £50 million and the player himself does not want to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, then I do not think that Tottenham should continue their pursuit of the 23-year-old.

I believe that it would be best for Tottenham if they abandon their pursuit of Gallagher and move on, even though Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou really likes him.

Gallagher has given four assists in 19 Premier League matches for Chelsea this season. He has scored 13 goals and given 10 assists in 118 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
