6 clearances, 4 aerial successes: Ozan Kabak shines in Liverpool win
Liverpool signed Ozan Kabak in January on loan and he highlighted in last night’s 1-0 win over Wolves exactly why his deal should be made permanent.
The Reds moved quickly to take the Schalke man on loan in January, with Joe Matip joining Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez on the list of injured stars.
Liverpool can make the temporary arrangement more permanent with a fee of £18 million which could rise to £26.5 million in the summer

Kabak has now played seven times for Jurgen Klopp’s team and on last night’s showing, his signing looks like being a formality.
He was impressive throughout the contest at Molineux. Liverpool took the lead through Diogo Jota on the stroke of half-time but found themselves under constant pressure during the second 45.
Kabak was at the heart of everything good about Liverpool’s defending last night.
He made six clearances, three interceptions and two tackles as the Reds battled to keep Wolves at bay.
The Turkish performer also highlighted his prowess in the air and it would seem as though he simply loves heading the ball.
He won four aerial challenges and even completed the game with a passing accuracy of 87.8% from his centre-back position.
Competition
Some might point to the fact that once Van Dijk and Gomez are fit, Kabak’s chances would be limited.
It has to be said, however, that Liverpool’s backup options haven’t been good enough this season and better depth is required.

Kabak is only 20 and with the Reds likely to be in four competitions once again, there will still be ample chances for him to play.
The performer would be a sound investment in the future.
Indeed, on last night’s showing, he’s more than capable of becoming a Premier League success story.
