£50m player will be the next to sign a new contract at Arsenal

Arsenal have done some incredible work in the transfer window over the past 12 months, but perhaps the best business they’ve done has been tying their star players down to new contracts.

A number of key men at the Emirates have committed their long-term futures to the Gunners over the past year as the likes of William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all put pen to paper.

Arsenal have done some great work with these new deals, and they’re not finished yet.

Indeed, according to Charles Watts, speaking in , Ben White is set to be the next Arsenal player to commit to a new deal in the near future.

White set for new deal

Watts shared what he knows about the defender.

“There’s been a huge amount of contract renewals at Arsenal recently. Saka, Martinelli, Saliba, Gabriel, Ramsdale. All of those players. Ben White is definitely going to be the next in line to get this. I’d be very surprised if we don’t hear something fairly soon when it comes to Ben White’s contract, talks are ongoing in terms of getting this over the line, getting it done and I can’t see any issues from his side or Arsenal’s side,” Watts said.

Tomiyasu next

White’s contract being sorted is a huge boost for Arsenal, and that leaves them with only one contract situation that needs handling now.

Indeed, Takehiro Tomiyasu is heading into the final 18 months of his deal, and Arsenal will surely want to tie him down after his good form as of late.

Other than that, Jorginho and Thomas Partey are entering key periods, but given their respective ages, perhaps that’s something Arsenal want to kick down the road and decide at a later date.

Arsenal have been getting a lot right lately, and their handling of these contract situations have been brilliant to say the least.
