£50m player Arsenal have submitted bid for says ‘no one knows’ what will happen with his future

One Euro 2024 star that Arsenal have recently submitted a bid for has now hinted that his future beyond the tournament is still very uncertain.

Having endured a quiet June, unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal are likely to be busy this month and next.

The new Premier League season is just 43 days away and Arsenal’s pre-season is even closer.

And judging by how Arsenal went about their business last summer, they’ll want to have their significant signings in place before their preparations really ramp up.

Kai Havertz had already signed by this point last year, and deals for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber were seemingly well underway.

Arsenal’s first pre-season friendly is scheduled for July 24 against Bournemouth in the US, stressing the increasing need to get things going.

That being said, one attacker who Arsenal have been linked with, Spain’s Nico Williams, has now admitted that he won’t make any decision on his future until after the Euros.

Arsenal target Nico Williams has told his agent he ‘doesn’t want to know anything’

Williams is currently preparing for a quarter-final against tournament hosts Germany on Friday, a match that could potentially decide the winner of the Euros.

Given his excellent performances for La Roja, Williams is being heavily linked with a move to north London.

And Arsenal have reportedly just submitted their first bid for Williams, hoping to take an early march on the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool.

That being said, speaking via in Spain, the £50m-rated Athletic Bilbao winger has just shared what he’s been telling his agent, amid all this speculation.

Williams said: “I told my agent that I don’t want to know anything until the Euro is over.”

And when asked about next season’s Europa League final, which will be played at Bilbao’s stadium, San Mames, Williams added: “That’s a long way off.

“The year that comes, no one knows what is going to happen. Whatever has to come, will come.”

The final of Euro 2024 is scheduled for July 14th, meaning there will be a small window before pre-season fixtures begin for most clubs.

But perhaps this schedule demonstrates just how busy the next seven or so weeks will be for all sides, including Arsenal.

That being said, Arsenal do seem to be progressing in their advances for Italy’s Riccardo Calafiori.
