£50m forward is expected to join Arsenal this summer but Mikel Arteta may now be having second thoughts

Mikel Arteta is expected to make an addition to his attack at Arsenal as soon as the 2024/25 campaign ends.

A story from Steve Kay recently claimed that Nico Williams is set to join Arsenal this summer – with the Gunners aware they need💟 to invest in their frontline, as Leand💫ro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling are the only attackers available right now.

Untimely injuries to Ka🐈i Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have laid bare the thin nature of Arsenal’s attack.

However, Mikel Arteta may now be having second thoughts about bringing Nico Williams to Arsenal after seeing what Antony has done at Real Betis.

Antony has already outscored Nico Williams in La Liga

A deal for the Spain inte💯rnational would be very, very expensive.

Not only would Williams cost £50m due to his release clause, but the winger also earns £200,000-a-week, so theꦿ overall package would be a costly one for Arsenal.

There is no doubt the Athletic Bilbao No.10 is a talented footballer, although we believe Arteta might be having seconds thoughts on his suitab♌ility to the Premier League, after seeing how quickly Antony overtook him in the Spanish scoring charts.

The 🧜Brazilian moved on loan to Real Betis duringꦿ the winter transfer window, and has already scored two goals in just three La Liga appearances, while also providing one assist.

In comparison, Williams has💜 scored just one goal in 2🧸0 league appearances this season, assisting four.

That should give Arteta some food for thought, given the fact Antony only managed to score five goals in 62 Prem𓂃ier League appearances and visibly struggled to compete in English football.

Arsenal might make other expensive additions on top of Nico Williams

By the sounds of it, Arsenal could invest heavily on new signings this summer.

Sami M𝓰okbel of the Daily Mail recently claimed there is a senseꦑ within the Emirates Stadium that Arsenal are preparing for an unprecedented summer in the market.

RB Leipzig No.30 Benjamin Sesko has𒐪 been strongly linked to Arsenal – while the Gunners are also seemingly in the driving seat to sign Ma꧋rtin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

Therefore, with Mokbel’s comment in mind, it is not outrageous to think Arsꦛenal could sign Williams, Sesko and Zubimendi this summer if finances allow for such a spending spree.
