Arsenal ended 2023 in disastrous fashion as they lost two games on the spin to put their title charge in danger.

For Gunners manager Mikel Arteta, 2024 will be a massive year. The transfer window could well shape things for the Spaniard, with a new striker, such as Ivan Toney, being linked heavily with a move to The Emirates.
However, it’s just as important Arteta gets the house in order in terms of what’s already there. And that means dealing with injury problems.

Ben White is the defender who gets a mention from the report. It’s claimed the has been carrying an injury and playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks.
White has played regular for the Gunners over the Christmas period as he continues to be the first-choice right-back.
But with Takehiro Tomiyasu now coming back and the January window here, Mikel Arteta might have a decision to make on the former Brighton man.
Jurrien Timber was signed in the summer to help and compete with White. However, the Dutchman was injured on his debut and is not expected back any time soon.

If the Gunners are going to get over the line this season then they’re going to need everyone fit and ready to go all the time.
Clearly, Arteta has been having to overuse a few players and it seems like Ben White is one of them.
Quite what the injury is, we don’t know. But with a mini break in the season coming, it might be the ideal time for White to sort out any issue he does have.
