£4m player now training alone after Manchester United and West Ham attempted to sign him
Manchester United or West Ham now seem to have a great chance of signing a summer target in 2025.
Both the Red Devils and the Hammers pursued the same player back in the summer window, but after an exit failed to materialise, he is now training alone – with a departure in 2025 looking very likely.
So, who is now training by himself after Manchester United and West Ham showed interest? Let’s take a look…
Oumar Solet training alone at RB Salzburg after Manchester United and West Ham interest
RB Salzburg No.22 Oumar Solet is currently training by himself after failing to secure an exit from the Austrian side during the summer transfer window.
The Frenchman becomes a free agent in July 2025.
It comes after Sport Zone stated that West Ham were keen to sign Solet back in July.
Presumably, the Hammers remain interested, given the fact West Ham are in talks with free agents Joel Matip and John Egan as Julen Lopetegui hunts for a new central defender.

Elsewhere, it was a story from which claimed that Manchester United wanted to sign Solet – who RB Salzburg signed from Lyon in a (£3.8m) deal back in July 2020.
Pre-contract deal can be agreed
Manchester United or West Ham seem to have a great chance of signing Solet in 2025 after he began training alone, and a deal could even be struck in January.
The Premier League duo could either make a bid to sign the 24-year-old in the normal manner, or, due to his contract situation, a pre-contract agreement can be arranged ahead of a free summer move.

Players are allowed to discuss these pre-contract deals whenever they have just six months remaining on their contracts.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as both West Ham and Manchester United could still use at least one new central defender in their respective squads.
