£45m Tottenham target suggests he does not want Spurs move this summer
One Tottenham target has now done the opposite of encourage a move to north London this summer.
There is a clear need for some more reinforcements at Spurs following a recent wobble under Ange Postecoglou, which includes an awful 4-0 loss to Newcastle and a disappointing 3-2 defeat in the north London derby.
Goals seem to have dried up a bit for Tottenham, with James Maddison’s indifferent performances of late highlighting a clear lack of threat coming from central midfield areas.
There are plans to rectify that with a move for one of the most creative midfielders in the Championship, although new comments suggest this deal is unlikely to materialise…
Tottenham target Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall says he wants to stay at Leicester
Well, Tottenham are said to be keen on signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester this summer, with a price tag of £45m being mentioned.
That is according to .
The Leicester No.22 has shone in the Championship this season with goals and 14 assists in 44 appearances, although he has now poured cold water on a potential move to north London.
Speaking at Leicester’s end of season awards evening after being named Players’ Player of the Season, Dewsbury-Hall said: “I’ve been at this club since I was eight years old. I’ve got no intention of leaving”.
The 25-year-old clearly has a lot of love for the Foxes, and it will undoubtedly be tough to prise him away from the King Power Stadium.
However, Tottenham do have a potential lifeline.
Foxes may be forced to sell
Despite Dewsbury-Hall’s comments, Leicester may still be forced to sell their academy graduate in order to comply with Profit and Sustainability (PSR) regulations, according to .
It is said that Leicester are giving serious thought to selling the Tottenham target – who is friends with Maddison – before June 30th to avoid breaching financial rules.

Clearly, a very interesting situation is developing at the King Power Stadium, as Leicester might end up having to nudge Dewsbury-Hall out of the exit door against his will.
Be sure to keep an eye on this saga, as Spurs could benefit.
