£45m player’s name keeps coming up in Liverpool recruitment meetings
Liverpool are still waiting to secure their first signing of this summer transfer window following Arne Slot’s arrival.
Despite their struggles in the transfer market, Liverpool impressed in their last outing in pre-season after they secured a win over Arsenal in the United States.
Arne Slot has now had over a month to get used to his new surroundings with the new campaign just two weeks away.
However, the Dutchman has not seen his options bolstered so far with a number of his players still to even return from their extended summer breaks.
A big few weeks lie ahead for Liverpool off the pitch and it seems there is one player who those at the club cannot stop talking about.

Liverpool can’t stop talking about £45m forward this summer
The Reds open the new season with a clash against the newly-promoted Ipswich Town who will provide a stern test.
So far, there will be no new faces on display for the travelling Liverpool fans who will be seeing Slot lead his side out for the first time in a competitive game.
There will be a lot of unknowns surrounding Liverpool following the departure of Jurgen Klopp earlier this summer.
But there seems to be one constant this summer in the club’s standing interest in a certain Premier League forward.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the name of Anthony Gordon keeps cropping up in Liverpool transfer meetings.
“What I can confirm, once again, is the appreciation of the player internally at Liverpool,” said Romano in his .
“In several meetings that the club have had, the name of Anthony Gordon has been discussed, and he’s really highly rated. Liverpool believe he’s a top, top player.
“Let’s see if Liverpool will reactivate this option in terms of talks with Newcastle, and let’s see what Newcastle want to do, because he’s a crucial player for them.”
Liverpool could find their future star in Anthony Gordon
The Gordon enjoyed a stunning first full season with Newcastle last term after returning an impressive 11 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League alone.
If he was to make the move to a regular top four club like Liverpool, those numbers could considerably improve.
The future of Mohamed Salah remains uncertain at Liverpool with interest remaining from Saudi Arabia.
Besides the interest from the Middle East, Salah is now 32-years-old so Liverpool will likely be eyeing his long-term replacement.
And in Gordon, Liverpool could well find that player.
