Liverpool kicked off the Arne Slot era on Saturday.

Joe Gomez ready to ‘quit’ Liverpool after being linked to Chelsea
Slot left out Joe Gomez from the matchday squad yesterday and it’s now emerged that he’s ‘set to quit’ Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.
Gomez is considering his options and is already attracting interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League.
According to , Chelsea are one of the interested parties whilst Fulham and Aston Villa are also keeping an eye on his situation.
The 27-year-old had a £45m switch agreed to join Newcastle earlier in the summer with Anthony Gordon coming the other way but that deal failed to materialise.
Liverpool not forcing Joe Gomez out
It’s understood that Gomez isn’t being forced out and will be reintegrated into the squad if he fails to agree a move elsewhere.
The England international’s versatility is valued around Anfield and given he’s Liverpool’s longest-serving player, the club are clearly eager to manage his situation respectfully.
Only 12 days remain of the summer transfer window, so time is certainly not of the essence to get a deal done.
