44-year-old PL manager would appeal to Sir Jim Ratcliffe if Manchester United sack Erik ten Hag
Roberto De Zerbi has been named as a manager who would appeal to Manchester United if Erik ten Hag gets sacked in the coming weeks.
The Red Devils announced yesterday that an agreement has been reached with Sir Jim Ratcliffe for him to take over 25 per cent of the club. He will be the one calling the shots once the deal is ratified by the Premier League, and a decision on Ten Hag’s future is likely to be made then.

Roberto De Zerbi would be an option for Manchester United to replace Erik ten Hag
Manchester United have started the season terribly under Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils, who finished third last term, are currently eighth in the Premier League table. They’ve lost more games than they’ve won in all competitions this campaign, which is not a good look at all.
Ten Hag is under immense pressure now as a result, and if things don’t improve in the next few weeks, there’s every chance he could be shown the door.
If that happens, journalist Dean Jones believes Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi would appeal to Manchester United.
He told : “It might be that if and when ten Hag does go, Manchester United take a chance on De Zerbi because he has shown what he can do in that Brighton set-up.
“As long as he can work within Manchester United’s culture, fine. I think De Zerbi and Julen Lopetegui are the type of managers that will appeal to them.
“I’m not really buying that they’ll go for somebody like Zinedine Zidane or anyone down that route because I think you’re going to have to be willing to work within certain confinements, particularly in the early days as they start to get to grips with the changes that are going to be going on.”

De Zerbi would be fantastic at Manchester United
Roberto De Zerbi replaced Graham Potter at Brighton, and there were many who doubted him at the time because he had never managed in England before.
However, the 44-year-old Italian has been incredible in the Premier League. He led Brighton to a sixth-place finish last season and has brought in a very exciting brand of football.
Yes, the pressure that comes with the Manchester United job is significantly higher than what De Zerbi has had to deal with at Brighton, but he is a young coach full of exciting ideas, and we think he would be amazing at Old Trafford.
As for now, Erik ten Hag is still at the helm, and if he can turn things around in the coming weeks, we won’t have to talk about his replacement.
