Of course, Tottenham have been dealt a huge blow as Maddison picked up an ankle injury in the 4-1 defeat to Chelsea last week.

The England international is expected to be out until the new year and Spurs certainly felt his absence over the weekend as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wolves.

Despite missing out on the trip to Molineux on Saturday, Maddison has been ranked as the second-best signing of the summer so far.

It’s certainly no real surprise to see Maddison ranked among the best signings in the Premier League this season.

Postecoglou will have to find a way to get Spurs purring in the final third once again after a disappointing display at Wolves.
