£35m Arsenal attacking target not keen on Chelsea as he wants Champions League football

Arsenal are likely to be busy on the transfer front in the coming weeks as Edu and Mikel Arteta look to fine-tune their squad.

The Gunners took the Premier League title battle to the final day of the 2023/24 season, showing how far they’ve progressed over the past few years.

This summer, Arsenal’s job will be to strengthen their squad so they can finally go all the way and lift a trophy that has eluded them since 2004.

There has been a lot of speculation linking the Gunners with Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori, but there have also been links involving midfielders and attacking players.

Now, Arsenal may have just received a boost in pursuit of a £35million-rated forward who is also wanted by London rivals Chelsea.

Arsenal target Karim Adeyemi wants Champions League football

The player in question is Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, who is said to be on the radar of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

According to the , the Blues have firmly set their sights on the 22-year-old, but he’s understood to be ‘unreceptive to a move to Stamford Bridge’.

This is because Adeyemi only wants Champions League football if he is to leave Dortmund for pastures new, claimed the report.

The Bundesliga side is reportedly open to selling the Germany international for around £35million.

Adeyemi has ‘almost everything a striker needs’

Arsenal could do with bolstering their attacking ranks ahead of next season, as they sometimes struggled to break teams down in 2023/24, which cost them valuable points.

Adeyemi would certainly be a good shout for the Gunners. At just 22 years of age, he already has a combined 160 appearances for Dortmund and Red Bull Salzburg, plus four Germany caps.

“Karim has almost everything a striker needs. His quality and speed are incredible,” Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle previously said, as per the .

And with reports suggesting he’s not keen on a non-Champions League side, this is a major boost for Arsenal, who will be in Europe’s premier club competition once again next term.
