£34m striker Jose Mourinho once called ‘amazing’ rejects move to both Everton and West Ham

It’s certainly no secret that both Everton and West Ham United are in the market for a new goal-scoring number nine this summer.

Julen Lopetegui needs an upgrade on both Michail Antonio and Danny Ings in east London and Tim Steidten is working hard to find one.

And there’s a similar demand stemming from Goodison Park, where Sean Dyche is faced with the prospect of replacing Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

TBR Football recently shared that Everton were preparing to sell Calvert-Lewin this summer.

The striker has rejected the offer of a new contract from Everton and with just 12-months left on his current deal the club have recognised the need to recoup whatever funds they can.

That being said, it seems as if both Everton and West Ham have now landed on the same target, Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

26-year-old Abraham played just 12 games for Roma last term in an injury-hit season yielding one solitary goal.

Tammy Abraham isn’t keen on signing for Everton or West Ham this summer

That being said, it seems as if Abraham isn’t keen on making a return to England this summer, at least not to Everton or West Ham.

Sky Italia journalist Marco Demicheli shared the news via in Italy recently, saying that Abraham would prefer to hold out for AC Milan.

The journalist shared a lengthy update regarding Milan’s interest and then summarised by saying that Abraham had already said no to English clubs.

Demicheli said: “There have also been offers from England: from Everton and West Ham.

“But he [Abraham] has said no to all of them , he is keeping everything on hold. Of course, if another top club were to arrive, then it would be another matter.

“He wants Milan at the moment, so he is waiting”.

Mourinho hails ‘amazing’ Abraham

Of course, given Abraham’s injury record, fans of both Everton and West Ham may even be relieved by the striker’s decision, if reports are to be believed.

Everton have already struggled with Calvert-Lewin’s injuries over the years, and Antonio has similarly had his fair share of issues in east London.

Although, there’s always been the sense that Abraham still has a lot of potential to fulfil – someone Jose Mourinho once called ‘’.
