£34m star will be sold, Klopp will sign £96.8m attacker: Three bold Liverpool predictions for 2022

Liverpool have ended 2021 with a lot to be frustrated about, but the New Year brings new hope, and Reds fans will be hoping that they can achieve something special in 2022.
Jurgen Klopp will have a lot of tough decisions to make this year. The Reds didn’t really make big changes to their squad in 2021, but with Manchester City running away with the title as things stand, Liverpool will have to do something special to get their hands on the Premier League crown again.
So, what do you think will happen with Liverpool this year?
Here are our three bold predictions about Klopp’s side in 2022…
Liverpool will sell Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane has been one of Liverpool’s best players since he joined the club from Southampton for in 2016. He has played 243 games for the Reds so far and has been directly involved in 150 goals, which is a very good record.
However, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Mane will have just a year left on his contract in the summer and Liverpool will have to make a decision.
Keeping hold of Mo Salah will obviously be the priority, which could mean that the Senegal international will have to find a new club before the start of next season.

Klopp will sign Ousmane Dembele
If our first prediction does come true, Liverpool will need a replacement for Mane. The Reds have been linked with plenty of attackers already, but the most exciting name among all is arguably Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman, who joined the Catalans for in 2017, will be a free agent in the summer. Plenty of clubs from across Europe will be keen to sign him, but a move to Anfield to work under Klopp would be an amazing opportunity for him.
He would be an incredible player for the Reds if he can stay fit.

No Ballon d’Or for Salah
Mohamed Salah has been the best player in the world so far this season, there is absolutely no doubt about that. The Egyptian has scored 22 goals and has provided nine assists in just 25 appearances this season. That is an outrageous record, but he may still not get his hands on the Ballon d’Or.
His main rival for the award will be Robert Lewandowski and the Pole has already scored more goals (30) than Salah. The Bayern Munich man will come up against inferior opposition more often than not in the Bundesliga and to make it easier for him, he won’t have to head out for the African Cup Of Nations in January.
Lewandowski is also the favourite to win every competition Bayern are involved in. That may just give him the edge over Salah, which is annoying for Liverpool fans, who all want to see their Egyptian king win the most prestigious individual award in the game.
