£34 million for Jimenez is probably just about worth it for Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers want to keep Raul Jimenez beyond his loan spell at the club.
The Mexico international has made an excellent start at Molineux, scoring four goals and making six assists in the Premier League.

Although not stellar numbers, Jimenez has endeared himself to the Wolves supporters with his work rate and bullish style of play.
He has caught the eye in numerous games and never shies away from a battle.
Clearly Wolves have been very happy with his contributions so far, that the Black Country club would now like to tie him down to a permanent contract.
Apparently his release clause is €38 million (£34 million), which on the face of it seems like a lot.
Why Jimenez is worth £34 million
Jimenez brings a lot to the table. He may not have been massively prolific so far but his all-round game is very good.

He never gives defenders a moment’s peace, and is great at holding the ball up and bringing teammates into play. It seems on early evidence that he is tailor-made for the Premier League and its physicality.
He is a huge team player, who also happens to be in his prime at age 27.
And when one thinks back to previous transfer windows, then the fee in question doesn’t seem so bad.
Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, Christian Benteke, Andy Carroll have all gone for huge amounts in recent windows.

The current market is hugely inflated and it’s just the way it is now.
That all said, Wolves could always try and negotiate with Benfica to get Jimenez a bit cheaper.
