£32m reported Arsenal transfer target admits Emirates move ‘would be nice’

Dutch striker Wout Weghorst has been discussing recent links with a move to Arsenal, and he is clearly open to the move.

It was earlier in the week that Arsenal, along with Premier League rivals Newcastle United, were considering a €35 million (£32m) move for the striker.

The colossal striker was as  when he declared that a move to Arsenal would be welcomed but also that he should not be talking about a potential move away from VfL Wolfsburg.

“That would be nice, wouldn’t it. That would be a good thing, of course that fits in the perfect picture.

“This is a very boring answer, but you really shouldn’t be asking me about that (interest). I would say call them up, make them nice and warm, then it’s all right.”

Arsenal’s interest in Weghorst has certainly caught the eye, considering the Dutch international is not your typical Gunners frontman.

The 6ft 6ins frontman has been in fine form for the German side this season. The 27-year-old has scored 20 goals in 42 games for the club this season, including scoring a goal every other game in the Bundesliga.

He has also made it clear in the past that he is open to a Premier League move.he made it clear he was ‘ambitious’ and that England was in his plans. He did however suggest that Liverpool would be his first-choice.

But Arsenal will no doubt be pleased to hear that this apparent target is open to the move.
