£30m Tottenham target has just been left off his side’s pre-season tour
Pre-season is underway, and clubs now have some difficult decisions to make about their wantaway players.
Indeed, Premier League sides are jetting off all over the world on pre-season tours, and players who may or may not be sold are in limbo.
Clubs need to decide whether or not to fly these players thousands of miles even though they’re surplus to requirements, and that is a tough call to make, and a hard decision to take if you are one of these players left behind.
A number of players are going to be in this position in the coming days, and, interestingly one of Tottenham’s reported transfer targets has been left at home as his team heads to the USA.

Trevoh Chalobah left out of Chelsea’s tour squad
Trevoh Chalobah has been left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour squad as the Blues head off to the USA.
The £30m man had been training as normal with the rest of his teammates in the build-up to the tour, but Chelsea have left him at home, signalling that he doesn’t have a part to play at Stamford Bridge going forwards.
Chalobah has been linked with a move to Tottenham recently, and the door may now be open for a team like Spurs to make a move.
Chalobah’s time at Chelsea is over
It’s not all that surprising that Chalobah is being phased out at Chelsea.
With Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana and Axel Disasi all in the squad, Chalobah is way down the pecking order at centre-back, while there’s not much room in the midfield either.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are light on centre-halves as things stand with just Micky van de Ven, Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero available as senior centre-halves, so Chalobah could become a fixture at Tottenham if he were to make the move across London.
It looks as though Chalobah may well have played his final game for Chelsea.
