£30m player makes claim about the atmosphere at the Emirates after being linked with move to Arsenal

Max Aarons that he could feel that nerves among the Arsenal supporters when he played there with Norwich City at the weekend.

Nervy times

Arsenal won 1-0 against Norwich as they finally picked up their first victory of the season.

But Aarons admits that there was a tension around the Emirates Stadium that even he picked up on as he was playing.

He said: “You could tell Arsenal were under a bit of pressure. You could feel in the game that the fans were a bit tense and the players were a bit tense. You could feel it in the stadium.

, but whether he remains a target still remains to be seen.

Arsenal have just brought in Takehiro Tomiyasu, so may be hoping that they don’t need to spend another £30 million () on a right-back any time soon.

Tomiyasu did impress on debut against Norwich, but tougher tests are likely to come for the Japanese international as the campaign progresses.
