£30m player is now ‘very close’ to signing for another club rather than Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur could be in line for a crushing blow in their pursuit of Radu Dragusin, with the defender apparently ‘very close’ to signing for Bayern Munich.
Throughout the weekend, it looked like Dragusin was on his way to Tottenham, despite a late bid from Napoli for the defender.
Dragusin is believed to prefer a move to England, but as yet, Tottenham haven’t got a deal done with Genoa.
And after reports this morning suggested Bayern Munich were now keen on Dragusin, reports over in Italy now claim that Bayern are closing in on a deal.
Bayern Munich close to beating Tottenham to Radu Dragusin
According to , Bayern feel they’re now ‘very close’ to closing a deal for Dragusin.
It’s claimed that the German side have met Genoa’s asking price of close to £30m with add-ons and that Dragusin has even agreed a £2m-a-year salary with the Bundesliga side.
However, there is still time for Tottenham to get involved again and it suggests that a new bid from Spurs could arrive in the coming hours.
With Bayern obviously willing to put the money up, Spurs now face competition they probably didn’t expect over the weekend.
Dragusin is wanting to move from Italy. But whether or not that move will be to Germany or England, now seems to be hanging in the balance.
Nightmare for Spurs
After pushing for Dragusin for over a week now, this news will be hugely frustrating for Daniel Levy and more importantly, Ange Postecoglou.
Somehow, it looks like Tottenham might have let this one slip through the net and it will no go down well you’d imagine.
Spurs fans will be hoping that their negotiation team can get back involved here and move Bayern out of the way again.
However, the German side are a huge draw and if they’ve got agreements in place, it could be a hard fight for Tottenham to put themselves back ahead here.
