£30m attacking player wants Chelsea exit in January, Graham Potter saw him as ‘a huge coup’

Chelsea attacking player Noni Madueke is ready to leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has noted Chelsea’s stance on Madueke.

So, what has been reported about Chelsea and Noni Madueke? Let’s take a look.

Noni Madueke open to Chelsea exit in January

Well, according to , Chelsea are ready to offload Noni Madueke in the January transfer window in a bid to bring in a star striker.

Madueke is one of the players Chelsea are ready to “sacrifice” to fund a move for a top striker.

Brentford star Ivan Toney and Napoli ace Victor Osimhen are two strikers who have been linked with the Blues.

TEAMtalk has claimed that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino does not have Madueke in his plans, adding that that the former Tottenham Hotspur prospect is “seeking an exit from the club, in the hope of more minutes and the chance to make the senior England squad for the upcoming European Championship in Germany”.

The report has noted that Chelsea want to recoup the £30 million they paid to PSV for the 21-year-old in January 2023. Then Blues head coach Graham Potter saw Madueke as “a huge coup”.

Too early for Chelsea and Noni Madueke to part ways

In my view, Chelsea should not sell Noni Madueke in the January transfer window.

I believe that the 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, himself has to continue to fight for his place in the team.

After all, Madueke joined the Blues only in January 2023. You just cannot give up after only a year. I believe that the England Under-21 international should stick it out at Chelsea until the end of the season at least.

Madueke scored one goal in 12 Premier League matches for Chelsea in the second half of the season. He has made one start and substitute appearances in the league for the Blues so far this campaign.
